Summary

Aubrey Vanlandingham, a 17-year-old Texas student, was charged with animal cruelty after poisoning a classmate’s show goat, Willie, with pesticide, allegedly because she “does not like cheaters.”

Surveillance footage captured her force-feeding the goat with a syringe on October 23, leading to its death the following day.

Investigators found searches on her phone related to poisoning animals. The Texas Future Farmers of America condemned her actions, emphasizing ethical behavior and animal welfare.

Vanlandingham faces up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine, with a court date set for January 15.

“Investigators found searches on her phone for how to poison pets, how much bleach is needed to kill an animal, and how to clear search history,” clearly didn’t learn anything from that last search.

I wonder what cheating in particular this twit was even talking about. The article doesn’t say. I don’t know how you can cheat in… Goats? IDK I’m not a redneck. Maybe the victim was dating the culprit’s cousin and cheated on them or something? People can be fucking dumb.

FFA and 4H have rules regarding the raising of show livestock that basically boil down to “you gotta take care of the animal.”

You’re not allowed to bring in help outside of your immediate family, you’re not allowed to “excessively” engage consultants, which is generally anything outside of the normal education you’d receive going through that program. And there’s a bunch of rules for where and how you house the animal. Several of which are in place to ensure that you cannot send it off to someone to train or care for it for any length of time.

There’s a significant amount of money on the line. These animals go to auction, and while it’s not typical, especially not for goats, they can bring in 6 figures. College educations are frequently paid for by these auctions. For a lot of kids that’s the plan.

      So cheating happens.

My neighbor’s daughter just let a pregnant pig die in birth because she was too stupid and incompetent to check on it during labor for 4 hours

They’re out 1600 bucks and have to get another one or they’re not gonna get the 4H certification or whatever

I’m very tempted to see if I can report them as such complete failures that they shouldn’t ever be given another chance. Because they are, and shouldn’t ever be allowed animal ownership

You either live long enough to become the villain or poison a goat and still become the villain because you were always the villain.

“She left the barn but not before returning twice a day to take photos and a video, according to the Statesman.”

    I mean… probably before too.

Sorry to be not serious for a bit. Serious posters with actual important things to say. I’m gonna get some stupid thrill from making fun of her name. I know her name is Aubrey; let’s pretend it’s something else.

Hi. I’m Amanda! Amanda “Mandy” Candace “Candy” Van Landingham. I’m gonna sing my favorite number, “Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)”.
