Lol, I always used it for “somehow” :')
I’m just here for the funzies lul :D
Lol, I always used it for “somehow” :')
smh = iwie (irgendwie)
How r u = wg (wie geht’s)
somebody = jmd (jemand)
Shut up = hdf (Halt die Fresse)
probs = wsl (wahrscheinlich)
idk = kp (kein Plan)
kp could also be “kein Problem” (no problem) which is why I personally prefer idk / np over kp / kp
Ah, thx for the explanation :)
Flatpak was designed to be decentralised, Flathub is just the main repository offering flatpaks and yes, probably 99% of all Flatpak applications are downloaded via the main repo but it is technically possible to just launch your own if you are unhappy with the main repo. The Flatpak team literally has this info page for hosting a repository
I for example, am taking AAGL from their own flatpak repo because they are not offering their launcher via the main one (even tho they also tell you to link the main repo - I guess for dependency reasons - but theoretically you could open your own repo and throw all dependency related packages in there or am I getting something wrong here)
You know things are about to get spicy when a state/nation adds the prefix “Greater” to its name
Yes, German dialects can vary greatly for example here’s the same sentence “I have an apple.” in different German dialects:
Standard German:
“Ich habe einen Apfel.”
Northern German / Platt:
“Ik hab en Appel.”
Middle German / Saxonian:
" 'sch’habm Abbl." ( 'sch is pronounced like sh)
Southern German / Bavarian & Austrian:
“I hob an Opfü.” (I is pronounced like the single letter E)
The Southern Germans are the ones with the Schwarzenegger accent.
English (fluent)
Dutch (bad)
French (basics)
Japanese (basics)
Standard German (native)
Lower Austrian German (fluent)
Bavarian German (fluent)
Saxonian German (fluent)
Vienna German (good)
Hamburgian German (OK)
Berlin German (OK)
Northern German (OK)
Swabian German (OK)
Platt German (bad)
Tyrolean German (bad)
Swiss German (worse) - Yes, for me it’s easier to understand Dutch than Swiss German
Interesting idea
Yeah, Mint too afaik with LMDE… 🤔
But a funny correlation indeed
Soon:
Ah, thanks for sharing your journey :D
Or AmogOS
I’m glad you found your Distro! :3
Oh nice! I remember my first one being Xubuntu but I have come a long way since then.
It’s a lightweight distro mainly for old or cheap hardware. It comes with a lot of tools pre-installed and is very conservative towards updates.
I mean, if it is just the client app you could see if the Flatpak version works better. ^^
Still more informative than every “Chrome Unboxed” article ever lol
Nice to finally meet you folks :3
I too had the thought that some people might mess around with the hpd numbers but I don’t want to make accusations without solid proof ^^
True, I use those too ^^
