Now, if you want to build a fairly beefy PC, I have to pay super ridiculous prices. A lot of chips are no longer made here and most things like graphics cards are a niche product costing a ton (especially with how the yen is doing lately). When I built this PC in 2016ish, it was cheaper to eat the exchange rate and the import duties to import some things from the US (NewEgg at the time).
Whenever I see a word that looks like valid Japanese, I have to look it up because the results can be hilarious sometimes. Don’t worry, though; its only native meaning is a variation on “many/a lot”, and I’ve never heard it. Only other meaning is a figure from Rome. Drop the initial ‘a’, however, and one meaning you get crotch/groin (which is why I thought this one might be amusing). Congrats on your game!
I listen to a variety of metal. If most of your song is incomprehensible screaming or growling (in any genre, for that matter), I’m not interested in that song.
I hope it doesn’t come to Japan. We have lots of cats running around the area that I moved to. I hope to start some trap+neuter/spay at some point, but can’t afford it now. One of the cats will get close and hang out, but will not be touched. They’re all varying shades of feral. On the plus side, they do help keep our rodent populations low (as do the snakes to a lesser degree (though they prefer toads), but I prefer non-venemous farm helpers

Pronunciation-wise, English is a mess anyway so I don’t think it’d bother me in speaking. Lots of people reduce ‘then’ to ‘thən’ and also do the same with ‘than’ making them indistinguishable in conversation (and leading to mixing them up in writing as well).
I try to only use that when it’s information I expect the person already knows and can answer quickly (i.e. generally very concrete yes/no questions of low complexity)

The human diet changed so quickly and the ability to do things about tooth pain and infection aside from dying means that there isn’t really evolutionary pressure in most of the world for teeth to meet the current “needs”, as it were.

Submarines are pretty cool. I toured a WWII-era submarine and there are still lots of manual valves and controls. It’s impressive that they worked so well.
It was in the lead-up to WWII so it’s not that crazy since we have a handful of WWII vets alive today. Technically, one of my remaining grandparents is old enough to remember hearing about it, at least.

Before slaughter, some farmers sell feeder pigs for other people to raise until slaughter. In order to get paid, no one in that chain wants to actively harm their health if only because it impacts their bottom line.
A non-animal way of looking at it would be producing mushrooms on some media. If I could safely and effectively grow my mushrooms on a medium that recycles something without otherwise damaging them on cheaper/greener material, why wouldn’t I do that? Conversely, why would I if that material ended up costing me more in the long run by stunting growth or something?
