15 days agoIt depends. I don’t feel forced to go on there because it has none of my friends. Obviously I’ll go once every few weeks to check out cool photography but I’m really not an active user there.

I was disappointed to learn there was no fediverse Tmbd/Imdb alternative. This looks like it has the potential to become that, among many things
6·16 days agoI think a lot of people start on Lemmy.world and lemmy.ml but then overtime switch to other instances they made alts on. I think it’s a cool way that things work and centralisation gets avoided.
Fuck that.
blahaj is an instance that federates with lemmy.world. So you have access to the content on there.

BeeHaw does not federate with lemmy.word due to moderation issues. If you want to access beehaw, I recommend making an alt account of a server like https://discuss.online/ or https://sopuli.xyz/

What you need to do is eat less calories than you burn — so eat a little less, and you will lose weight.
Changes in your body change your dreams — illnesses can induce nightmares, or stop you from dreaming all together — we don’t understand how dreaming works mostly, but we do understand that basically any physical change can induce changes in dreaming.

I know someone who deliberately misanlysed data in a study that led to an entire patient group getting denied disability benefits because his study showed the condition is “curable” (it isn’t). (His study was funded by the government department paying disability benefits and private disability insurances, of course).
Did he get what he deserved? No, he got knighted by the Queen, is serving on the board of the NHS, and is an insider with the ruling class.
