I’m kinda with you on this. It seems like quite a number of the cases they’re taking on are to make their mark on condoning fascism and oppression.

My old jeep with the 4.0 was like that. I just kept adding oil every week or two when it got down past the safe zone, not doing any oil changes for about 60k. That thing had about 260k on it when the transmission blew up and I didn’t have the time or money to keep going with it. My 2010 is damn near the same at 180k (the pos 3.8), but that motor is due to be swapped soon due to loss of compression.

There’s probably different levels of this instinct that correlate to experience camping out in the boonies, as well as the size of your own party. For instance, an inexperienced individual or small family probably would want the security of being near other people. But more experienced people want the solitude, and especially so for larger groups.

Chalk it up to someone not too familiar with camping.

It gets more hate because it’s owned by a Chinese company that more than likely shares data with the CCP. I assume you live in a western nation, so it’s basically the result of propaganda. Perhaps it’s warranted, perhaps not, but that’s why.

Especially at the prices the bill comes out to be. I had a day years ago where my car was in the shop, so I used one of them to get lunch. A $10 sandwich ended up costing me $30, and some people do this every day. Fuck avocado toast (which is delicious), this is why people are broke.

On an unrelated note, I’m usually not disappointed with Popeyes. I don’t eat it enough to have a basis for comparison, and my expectations are low enough for fast food that I’m usually pleasantly surprised.

FUBAR’d Outta Research & Development

When I first started on Linux with Fedora probably a little over 15 years ago, I used gnome just because it was different. At some point I played with Enlightenment, and now I use KDE. It was different when I was more interested in screwing around with my system. Now that I use it for work, I just need everything to be as reliable, persistent, and easy as possible. I haven’t used gnome in many years, but I hear these stories all the time and I just don’t want to deal with something that’ll wrench my workflow when I have other shit to do and no time to play diagnostics.
