  • Notice how literally none of these people have any problem whatsoever with any of Trump’s gaffes?

    What? Which people?

Trumps a client of a pedophile sex trafficking ring that had his dealer assassinated. He built his political career on the racist conspiracy that Obama was born in Kenya, colluded with Russia to become president, appointed climate change deniers to head the EPA and Dept of Energy, appointed public education deniers to head the Dept of Education, oil isnt bad enough for the environment for him so he endorses coal, was antivax before republicans thought it was cool, and nothing else on this world is closer to convincing me of the Bible than the idea that Trump is the antichrist.

But no trump supporter is going to see this

  • They’re essentially protecting a president from flagrant lawsuits that could be brought for unfounded accusations.

Usually i see strawmen making things sound worse than they are, but this is the complete opposite. Lawsuits is strawman, unfounded is strawman, accusations is strawman. This is for criminal cases, not civil, its actual prosecution, not accusations, and no requirement that they be unfounded for this immunity to apply. You are trying extremely hard to downplay this and cant have good intentions for this. Other justices have already claimed this includes political assassinations, and Trumps own legal team has already made the argument assassinating a political opponent can be an official act as president.

  • The problem is we’re on course for Trump winning. Trump has voters who like him, he has voters obsessed with him that will oust even other republicans if Trump wills it. He’s also got voters that are just voting against Biden, whoever has the R by their name. Trumps gonna win if all you have are voters that are just voting against Trump. No one’s excited about Biden. Throw in any younger dem politician right now and youll see a dam breaking of voters excited to vote for someone they dont have to worry about getting dementia in office.

  • People just feel like there has to be a catch with renewable energy and latch onto the idea of rare earth metals. Besides cobalt having some use in some kinds of lithium batteries right now, theres not really rare earth stuff going into renewables. Solar panels are silicon and aluminum, wind turbines are simple machines connected to a magnet spinning inside coils of copper, lithium batteries are already being made with iron as the other component.

  • Third world countries are the closest to our gun culture, but even then the guns per capita are like a third of the US. Shit man, i could tell you we have more guns than people, at 120 guns for every 100 people. But no one else is close to hitting 100, god no country is even anywhere near 60, fully half of the gun proliferation in the US.

For the rest of the world, 30 guns per 100 people is a staggering amount of guns, and most developed countries are far below that.
