  • Two very important steps to start with:

    1. Corporations are not people. They should not be able to lobby, donate funds, or be a scapegoat for their executives in a lawsuit.

    2. Restore truth in print laws, which were removed thanks to corporations being considered as people and allowed advertisers to lobby this legislation be removed under the guise of it hurting their buisness.

Then you’ve got a chance of stopping this shit. But these two legislative changes can be attributed to as the first to steps on the horrible path our democracies have taken to their ultimate enshitification where they have taken the power from the people and put it in the hands of the wealthy.

  • This! God damn I’m so sick of asking for a large and they give me a Venti (aka extra large) telling me “oh thats what you asked for”

You do realize your shitty size names actually have some meaning in other languages right? Grande = Large. Also 16oz = large.

That said, I think I go to them like 2 times a year now when everything else is closed and I have to choose between them and Tim Horton’s.

Also, fuck corps and their decision to upsize a large to 20oz in other companies. Can’t remember exactly when that started (15 years ago or so?) however I think the first ones to do it were McDonalds and Tim Horton’s here in Canada.

Just makes me recall Super Size Me.

  • For your skilled and educated workers, its very easy. Not to mention your neighbouring countries have experienced brain drain for an entire generation because of higher American salaries.

Prepare to experience brain drain as your best doctors, scientists and engineers easily move to other countries leaving you grasping to have enough people in critical areas.

This is one of the reasons the US excelled as a super power. Getting a constant import of the best and the brightest from around the world makes all your companies more successful and your army stronger and better equipped.

  • Haha. If only it was just that. My IBS is triggered by them. If I am diligent in avoiding them, I have a normal life.

Worth noting that there is a direct correlation between gluten percentage and fodmap percentage in foods, and many people who believe they are gluten sensitive are likely FODMAP sensitive and missed the target on their self-diagnosis. And likely, they aren’t having 100% normal digestion because they are missing the bigger picture of what FODMAPs are and just how many food sources contain high amounts of them.

I miss garlic, onions and mushrooms a lot too.
