Thats a great way to put it in a simple way: its wrong to use other peoples content for things they did not expect they would be.

“See I like AI because I’m selfish. Also those bad things are in the past, I’m using an ethical AI system now! But also, who gives a fuck because I only care about myself!”
Yeah you get it guy! Maybe you can be Trumps secretary of technology!
You really put 30 minutes of your own time above all of downsides this has for the rest of us who don’t have a use for it (most of the world)?
Microsoft is in a death spiral.
Even my coworkers who are complete idiots with technology, who actively sabotage themselves every time they touch any piece of hardware and software, have soured entirely on nearly every Microsoft product across the board.
Its funny how quickly people change their minds when they dont understand the technology on a deeper level. Its just: “this is frustrating now I hate it” and no further thought.
It does seem absurd that this stuff is tried in front of supreme court justices.
Could we do something like you say that involves experts in the field weighing in on the pros and cons, and costs?
Is it that the supreme court justices shouldn’t hear these cases at all, or that they are just so corrupt they can’t rule fairly?
I honestly have no idea what point you were trying to make here.
For me it was only a problem when I had to drive two cars:
A pickup with the shifter on the steering column (makes me sick thinking of it, horrible design)
A jeep with an absurd shifting handle which made the gears miles apart.
To be fair nearly all my concerns about manuals are from stories others have told me. We have had two manual cars for maybe a decade now and haven’t had a single bit of trouble with the transmissions or clutches.
I even taught myself to drive stick driving one of them home from the dealership. Plus I didnt become proficient at it for a bit of time after that.
I really prefer manuals at this point. Feels simpler.
I’m more worried about beating the transmission to death, but I didn’t know about high rpm lockouts so thanks for sharing that.
If you dont know the shifter well you can definitely put it in the wrong gear though.
Well I didn’t know about any of that and that’s all awful.
Makes me upset healing people has been twisted so much. Shocking there’s anyone left in the field under those conditions.
Well mortgages and rent costs are pretty close these days aren’t they? Its the down payment and closing costs that price people out of buying a home then? Why not take away the down payment requirements so that renters could participate in the buying market. Maybe there can be deals where someone sells you there home for 1-2 years for 50% market rate but they have to give the house back at the end of the term?
I think the point being made is that this landlord stuff almost rarely works out well these days so why not change?
There’s very few cases where renting is the best option, and for that group they usually are well off enough to have options.
Society is concerned with folks who can’t afford to buy a home right now, even with the mortgage price being less than the cost to rent in some cases. That group has no other options, and because that group is expanding at the moment, its increasingly likely to be affected either personally or via those in your community.
But right now the situation is people who want to own homes being forced to rent, not people who want to rent being forced to buy a home.
The deepfakes would contain the prompt image provided by the creator. They did not create a whole new approximation of their face as the entire pool it can pull on for that specific part is a single or group of images provided by the prompter.
America already permits forced unpaid overtime, especially on corporate positions. We just hide it better I guess?
Oh and we also permit slave labor, provided the “slave” is also a criminal of some kind.
I’m sure there’s other examples but that’s all I have at the moment.
Seems like a stop gap, is there supposed to be some larger plan to turn Greece around?
How’s that any different that salary workers in the US that are exempt from OT protections and are required to work extra hours for free or else be subject to discipline, up to and including losing their job?
A lot of modern western countries do the same stuff and just hide it better or target groups that won’t speak out.
This answers the question of why republican politicians are behaving the way they are, but not the republican voters.
Presumably none of these people would have any power were they not voted in, even with gerrymandering.
Can you give another answer focusing on the average republican voter as well?
All of the resources and energy spent to get you this product you like. You can’t discount what it took to create something just because the final product is small and efficient. Take a look at the manufacturing footprint of nearly all complex hardware.
I’m not saying you created the AI but you are one of its supporters, without which there would be no AI.
If this was all just pitched as developing a new plain English coding language, I think the hype following it would be far more appropriate, but then the funding wouldn’t follow to support the massive development costs of AI.
Its become a circle of hype chasing money chasing hype.
Its not you that is the problem so to speak though, its the collective “you’s” who think the same way.
