apparently my high school epitomed the Xer slacker stereotype for the middle of it… They have these signs along the fence listing accolades and awards for different teams and clubs. This is sorta a hornets nest. On the one hand I get that when it comes to tech who cares about the persons personal life but on the other hand when it comes to free software there is a concern over the orgs or individuals that run them given the trust involved. Yes you can rely on the many eyes but you want to be confident of the org (or individual) to begin with.

one of the best working situations I had was being 3 miles from work. Walking was a nice workout and faster than most folks commutes. Would pass 3 parks btw during the stroll that had water fountains in the summer. If I was running late could bike it which was so quick it felt I was getting off my bike just after I got on. If the weather was bad or I just felt inclined to the bus was a straight shot.

yeah. its funny the unrelated articles that I see related to it. Dr. Pepper becomes the number two soda seller. Don’t know about anyone else but around me dr. pepper is the only soda that comes up as 99 cents for a 2liter about once a month. Even the generics do not go on sale that often to that price and 69 cent 2liters are long gone. As one person pointed out in another thing the fed uses a basket of goods that changes based on what people are buying so if folks buy cheaper options out of necessity then that is not included in inflation numbers.
