I’m still excited for cities skylines to release for real this time
I’m an Ubuntu user, I’ve never bothered to try any other distro and probably never will. in essence, I just want my apps to work.
I have spent countless hours hunting down specific debian packages that the application that I want needs. I never wanted to worry about installing dependencies and worrying that they don’t interfere with each other in the first place. I really just want my apps to work.
People have complained that snaps have so much bloat, it runs slower, blah blah blah, I don’t care. It works and I’m happy.
Probably splurge just a bit more for CMR hard drives in my ZFS setup. I’ve had some pretty scary moments in my current setup.
as an avid fan of cities skylines I’m so very disappointed.
as someone who works in software… I’m eagerly waiting for next year when I do buy the game.
the games industry is a business at the end of the day and building software is a very expensive process. I understand that executives want to see returns start to come in now rather than later and if they make some customers angry then they’ve weighed the risks and decided it’s worth it.
