The instructions for mobile homes/trailers is the same as for a car or truck; leave and shelter in the closest appropriate shelter or lie down in a ditch while trying to protect your head.

I had a series of tornado warnings a couple weeks ago and was freaking out a bit before just figuring there was nothing I could do, so why worry. I then just packed a bowl, blasted some music to try and drown out the sound of the tornado sirens, and hotboxed the room.
link fedilink 11arrow-up 1·arrow-down 7 days agoedit-2 It is sadly a common tactic with authoritarian regimes. For example , the Cheka used to torture children with their parents as a way to interrogate and punish the parents.
My mom used to call the house from work at a random time between when my brother and I got home from school and when she left work. If she got a busy signal, she would wait about 15 minutes to half an hour and call back. If she got a busy signal a second time she would assume one of us was on the Internet and we would get in trouble when she got home.

link fedilink 3·arrow-up 9 days agoedit-2 While this is important, remember that it is only a part of the skill sets people need to be familiar with. People should also train in more dynamic ways than just bench shooting. People should also get acquainted with small unit tactics as well as other core facets of modern combat such as drones, energetics, thermal, EW, Coms, and OPSEC.
Also, remember that this will be asymertical, so a focus on Guerrilla/partisan tactics is key.

Edit 2: I forgot to mention a critical one:
Get Medical Training.
At the very least take CPR and First Aid classes. Stop The Bleed is also a good program. Many community colleges offer Emergency Medical Responder classes (which is a step in between First Aid and Emergency Medical Technician). Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is also an useful training.
Medical Training is good to have in general and I think many of these trainings should be taught to everyone in school.
Also, skills often atrophy quickly, so keep training and keep practicing.
I have not enjoyed life since part way through elementary school and I have wanted to end it since middle school. I am now in my early 30s. My parents care and are the main reason I keep going, but I have come extremely close numerous times. Honestly, it makes sense with how I have been treated by society, people, and life. At this point I am mostly numb and dead inside so that helps.
