    Are you using your account for the Google API? If yes, doesn’t it mine the privacy point of SearXNG?

      No, it’s just doing whatever it does by default for that. Being the only user does take away an element of anonymity, but I don’t think it’s to an unacceptable level. Sure, they might have a good idea of what I like to search, but they don’t know what links I’m clicking on or interacting with, and I’m not seeing any ads from the searches. So I’m a totally useless data point in that regard.

        Here I am again! Sorry, but I’m new to SearXNG and I don’t know it very well, so I need some more info from who knows about it. Instead of hosting your own instance where you tell Google what you search (even if it doesn’t know what you click and doesn’t track you), wouldn’t it better (and easier) to use Google Container that isolate all the searches that you do on Google without even the need to login? All the link you click are opened on different (or no) containers so there is no tracking. So: what are the advantages of using a personal SearXNG instance instead of the FireFox Google container addon? Thanks!
