you can tell if they set a display name by if there’s an @ in the front. if it’s not there, that’s their display name. you can see their username + instance by clicking on their name
i still see your username, so the change hasn’t federated to my instance yet. but when it does, you will show up as whatever you set your display name to
Oh that’s interesting. Normally when someone’s on a different instance, it would say: @[email protected] or whatever as your username.
