I know this is supposed to be the final update before ConcernedApe really focuses on Haunted Chocolatier. However, he also said that about 1.5. Not that I’m complaining. Love the guy and his passion
I’ll definitely be picking up Haunted Chocolatier on release day, whenever that ends up being!
The only he I possibly see myself preordering in the forseeable future (haven’t preordered anything in the last 10 years since I really dislike buying something you don’t know)
I want to say I’ve read an interview that he doesn’t stop updates because he doesn’t run out of ideas and the sales haven’t stopped yet. Or maybe that was Terraria. Two similarly dedicated devs.
Love Stardew Valley and I’m excited to see the new stuff, even though I haven’t even finished everything new from 1.5! I’m always in awe of how much time and effort he has put into this game and how much he continues to put into it!
Part of me wishes he’d stop updating it so I don’t have to worry about my mods breaking.
The other part? Fuck yeah, more Stardew.
This update is mostly about making it easier for modding iirc, so while it will break your mods you hopefully wont really have to worry about it again after this update, and modders should have an easier time making cooler stuff now going forward
New update means new farm for me. I like that the update focuses on the modding aspect. I always wanted to try one of the bigger mods but I was always scared it might break my saves.

Sounds like there will be some new community events with 1.6 so that will be good to shake up the normal yearly schedule!
Just started my first playthrough recently, should be exciting to have even more stuff to discover!
Definitely excited for more Stardew content - especially a new festival to explore!
