I wonder how many it’s actually going to be.

I figure, most people in that boat would have already joined here.

Yeah I feel that a vast majority of them would just install the Official™ Reddit app and live with the crap. We’ll see though.

Personally I’ll continue to use reddit after I recompile Infinity for Reddit with my own personal API key. I’m not using the official client. However I’ll be more active here

I just resorted to using old.reddit.com with adblock. Jokes on them, it takes more server resources to serve a full webpage than an API return.

I hope Lemmy develops a good writing and world building community so I can quit Reddit entirely.

        I didn’t use a 3rd party client before, I 100% will be now. I don’t know how I put up with that…

Probably when people start actually not being able to use their apps of choice they will more seriously consider switching. Especially since apparently one of the Reddit apps is being ported to Lemmy, will probably take a lot of users with it.

I think most people still on Reddit are just trying to see how bad it actually goes, with the hope that maybe it won’t be as and as everyone says it will be. Platform inertia is very strong with any social media and the majority will not be easily convinced to switch to anywhere else.

Yep. I think more people will be realize when they actually see the damage and start switching.
