It’s called lemmy because all the lemmings join it.
I just assumed since their icon looks like a mouse, that it’s named after the small rodent called a lemming.
But then why do they have that logo?
I thought maybe their logo was not really a mouse, but actually a lemming, which is what is in the picture in my comment, but I honestly don’t know.
