What would you do if, in 2006, your newly bought Wii told you to insert a Startup Disc that is not in your Wii box? Where do you find it then? Does it exist? Is it a bug? Can you burn one of these on a CD or DVD with your parents’ pc without them noticing? Will pressing A+B+Down on your Wii Remote skip that screen and let you create Miis? Find it out in this article about the mysterious Wii Startup Disc!

Seeing anything Wii related takes me back. My dad waited hours in line in the snow just to get me one. I was overjoyed when I got home from school that day. He really just wanted to make me and my brother happy. I lost him a couple years ago unfortunately. My wife and I are expecting now and all I can think about is how I hope to be the kind of dad that will stay in line for hours in the freezing snow just to make his son smile. God I miss him.

Thanks for this post. It brought back some really happy memories for me!

I saw this somewhere else the other day. I remember having a Wii and it never did this. The only thing I remember is not putting the wrist straps on and throwing the remote and breaking the TV on Christmas morning.
