Honestly, haven’t we reached the point yet where assigning ANY label other than Anti-Trump is counter productive? How much more pain will have to be inflicted, and it will be, before people decide that they don’t care about the label of the whatever-gender marching next to them.

I believe the most effective action is to cause pain for your local Republicans. Work to get them out. The ones still standing will switch sides because Musk can’t buy everyone’s office.

Put those sealed black garbage bags in the hot sun for th entire day (free high heat). If not, commercial hot dryer. All your clothes. If you find a pesticide specialty store, they can sell you the stuff and sprayer. Follow their instructions. Do it again in 10 days. Had 'em once. Not fun or easy. All above has to be done at same time

I keep a single domain for distnct emails. It’s not anonymous in the sense that anyone with half a brain could put 2+2 together and figure out who I am. It’s highly useful for three reasons: If I suddenly get junk mail on a specific email, I tell my server to deposit them in in the bit bucket. Next, the algorithms aren’t necessarily smart so having a different email for every login a) makes it harder to profile me, and b) it’s more secure. Hackers will waste a server month trying to open my lemmy email in all the money stores.

I use my own cloud server for everything except mail. For mail, I will probably move to Tuta. Their apps have issues, but they are open source.

Conservatives is a crappy label too. My view is that the Republican party has become that party that wants an authoritarian oligarchy. Now they can check that off their list.
