There’s some other RPi alternatives out there with less supply issues, but it seems like those have less community support and nearly no vendor support, especially with binary blobs. I’m looking forward to RPis being more available again.

Let’s hope so. I would really like a RPi4 to play with, but without a really good use case, I can’t justify the cost to myself.
Finally, I know there’s alternatives, but they just aren’t as frictionless to get working in projects.

Sounds like we’ll have to wait a little longer on the Zero, and I’m curious to see where its price settles because that’s a big part of its utility. I had a few project ideas the last couple of years that I put on ice as soon as I saw the $10 Pi was currently $100. Eek!
I just want a few Zero 2 Ws for Airplay/Spotify receivers. I currently have a spare 3B+ running in my kitchen, but it feels like overkill.

I love my pi but I hardly see the reason to add more to my home. I use it as a central hub for all my esp32s. I feel like pis are almost to powerful for most of my projects at this point. Lets see if more supply encourages me to think of bigger things
